NFF technical committee meets again today on new Super Eagles coach

SCORENigeria can again report that the NFF technical committee will meet later today in Abuja apparently to put a final seal to the appointment of a new coach for the Super Eagles.

From last week, the committee already recommended that a foreign coach is best placed to build on the successes of the Super Eagles after they reached the final of the recent AFCON in Cote d’Ivoire.

The delay in this appointment has generated criticisms particularly as the Super Eagles face two must-win 2026 World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin in June.

NFF technical committee meets again today on new Super Eagles coach

Nigeria did not get off to a great start in the World Cup qualifying campaign after they drew 1-1 at home with Lesotho before holding hosts Zimbabwe to another 1-1 draw in November.

They are now third in a qualifying section that has surprise team Rwanda top of the standings on four points after two rounds of matches.
