EXCLUSIVE: MRI Age Test knocks out ‘more than half’ of Golden Eaglets 35-man squad

SCORENigeria can specially report more disturbing details on the massive MRI age test failure that has decimated the Golden Eaglets leading up to the WAFU B U17 AFCON qualifiers later this month.

A top source told SCORENigeria that more than half of the 35-man squad failed the age test.

“At least 18 players didn’t make it, that’s more than half the 35-man squad,” he disclosed.

“It is even more than that because most of the players affected are in the first team, so it will be weakened team that will represent the country in Ghana.”

The Eaglets are desperate for leftback as well as strikers as a result of this setback.

It was further gathered that many players did their initial age test at hospitals that are not authorized for such and so they got wrong results.

Tomorrow Nigeria will submit a final squad to the organisers so as to beat the deadline.

The selected players will face a fresh age test in Ghana and should three players fail, the country will be disqualified.

The tournament kicks off May 15.
