Fast-rising Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface has been nominated for Bundesliga Team of the Season on the back of the historic conquest by his club Bayer Leverkusen.
Victor Boniface faces tough competition in Bundesliga Team of Season
Since making his debut against RB Leipzig on August 19, 2023, Victor Boniface has gone on to score 11 goals and make nine assists in 1,370 minutes of Bundesliga football despite missing more than three months due to injury he suffered in Super Eagles training prior to the recent AFCON.
The Super Eagles striker will now have to slug it out with the likes of England all-time highest scorer Harry Kane, Leipzig’s Luis Openda, Nicolas Fülkrug, Guinean Serhou Guirassy, Denis Undav, Wolfsburg’s Jonas Wind, Ermedin Demirović, Omar Marmoush and Werder Bremen striker Marvin Durksch to get on the prestigious selection.
It is notable to recall that Boniface has already won the Bundesliga Rookie of the Month Award this season four times in a row, the most by any player this season.
