NPFL champions Enyimba title defence suffers setback
NPFL champions Enyimba title defence has suffered a setback after they were docked two points from the controversial home game against Doma United.
On account of this decision, Enyimba now have 53 points from 32 matches.
They are four points behind league leaders Enugu Rangers and have same points and goals difference of +11 with Remo Stars.
Enyimba were initially reported to have won the game 1-0, but the NFF disciplinary committee has now ruled the match will be recorded as a goalless draw.
The referee of the match said he was awarded an offside goal because he feared for his life.
However, Enyimba could appeal this decision.
