Ahead of tomorrow’s Premier League clash against Crystal Palace, Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo has hailed Taiwo Awoniyi while giving updates on his injury.
Awoniyi, who has been in and out of injury for Nottingham Forest, picked up another which ruled him out of the Super Eagles friendlies against Ghana and Mali, and now the next two games or even more for Forest.
Santo, whose two strikers Chris Wood and Awoniyi, are doubts for the Palace game,told Nottinghampost.com: “He is doing treatment. It is a serious injury, unfortunately.
“It is a big blow for us because he had just come back (from injury).”
He further sounded; “The importance of Taiwo is huge. He gives us another option.
“I don’t know exactly how long he will be out for, but I am positive we are going to see him again this season. He will definitely miss these two games.
“We have some issues but we still have a day to assess all the players.”
