NPFL ROUNDUP: Enugu Rangers stay top with Enyimba in hot chase
Enugu Rangers consolidated their leadership of the NPFL after a hard-fought 2-0 home win over Plateau United, but Enyimba are not letting up after they also saw off Katsina United at home to stay in second place.

Rangers now have 57 points from 32 matches, while Enyimba are two points behind after they defeated Katsina United 2-0 in Aba.
Chijioke Mbaoma scored form the penalty spot for Enyimba in the 61st minute to go joint-top scorer with Sikiru Alimi of Remo Stars on 14 goals.
Chiedozie Okorie put Rangers on the victory path after 25 minutes, before Godwin Obaje doubled the lead in stoppage time from the penalty spot.
Remo Stars remain third on 53 points after they humbled Niger Tornadoes 3-0 with Alimi grabbing a brace to lead the goals race with 14 goals.
Shooting Stars climbed to fourth place after a 2-0 win over Sunshine Stars in a Southwest Derby.
Second-half goals by Taofeek Malomo and Christain Pyagbara did the damage against Sunshine Stars, who continue to languish in the drop zone.

However, Lobi Stars championship aspirations suffered a major blow when they lost 3-2 at bottom club Gombe United.
The Makurdi team have thus dropped to fifth on 52 points with six rounds of matches to the end of the season.
