Eduwo fails to save Tunisian club in CAF Confederation Cup

Kingsley Eduwo’s strike was not enough for his Tunisian team Club African to progress in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Club Africain needed to win their home tie against APC Lobito Sunday, but they could only manage a 1-1 draw with the Angolans.

That result allowed Rivers United to go through with Group C winners Dreams FC to the quarterfinal of the continental competition.

Eduwo scored in the 58th minute to give his side a 1-0 lead, but the result was not enough for his club to advance to the next stage of the competition.

The former Sunshine Stars striker has now scored four goals in seven CAF Confederation Cup games and five goals in 11 league games this season.

The big striker has played for Gateway, Sunshine stars, Lobi Stars, Gateway FC (all in Nigeria), CS Sfaxien, Esperance (both in Tunisia), Al Najaf(Iraq) and Al Arabi (UAE)
