Advantage South Africa as Super Falcons open camp Sunday

The Banyana Banyana of South Africa may have got a head start against the Super Falcons ahead of crunch 2024 Paris Olympics playoffs after they opened training camp a week before their Nigeria rivals.

The Super Falcons will only open camp for the Olympic playoffs Sunday in Abuja, which is a week after South Africa began their own preparations.

The South Africans are dominated by home-based players and so could open camp much earlier than their Nigerian rivals, who parade wholly overseas-based stars.
