Super Eagles new boy Gabriel Osho still out injured

It is becoming increasingly likely that newly called up defender Gabriel Osho will not make his Super Eagles debut later this month as he remains out injured at Premier League club Luton Town.

Super Eagles take on arch-rivals the Black Stars of Ghana and the Eagles of Mali from March 22 in Morocco in friendly matches during the international break.

He missed the rescheduled Premier League match at Bournemouth, which Luton Town lost 4-3 after taking a 3-0 lead.

Luton Town manager Rob Edwards has now said Osho has not recovered in time for today’s FA Cup tie against fellow Premier League strugglers Nottingham Forest.

“He’s still in pain today (Friday), so not going to be good for tomorrow,” he disclosed.

“There’s about five centre-backs out and there’s not many teams in the Premier League who would be able to cope with that.”

Osho is clearly in a race against time to make his bow with the Super Eagles later this month.
