Sikiru Alimi shoots to top of NPFL goals race

Sikiru Alimi of Remo Stars is the new leading scorer in the NPFL after he scored a brace against Niger Tornadoes to take his tally this season to 14 goals.

He is now a goal ahead of Chijioke Mbaoma of Enyimba in a race for the prized Goal King award that promises to go all the way to the end of the season.

The former CHAN Eagles striker opened scoring for Remo Stars from the penalty spot on 28 minites, ebfore he completed his brace three minutes later.

Remo won 3-0 to move to second place on the NPFL table with 53 points from 32 matches.
