Victor Boniface’s Bayer Leverkusen reach Europa League semis and still unbeaten
Victor Boniface and Bayer Leverkusen will tackle AS Roma in the semifinal of the UEFA Europa League after they eliminated West Ham tonight.
The newly crowned Bundesliga champions needed a late goal to peg back the Premier League club 1-1 in London tonight and thus go through 3-1 on aggregate.
That also means they remain unbeaten in 44 games in all competitions this season.
Victor Boniface was a second half sub, while fellow Super Eagles star Nathan Tella started.
Roma got past fellow Italians AC Milan 3-1 on aggregate after they won 1-0 at home tonight.
