Rivers United face CAF Confederation Cup holders USM Algiers for semifinal spot

Rivers United were today handed a tough CAF Confederation Cup quarterfinal against holders USM Algiers of Algeria.

Rivers United will host the first leg in Nigeria, while the return leg match will be played in Algeria.

The two legs of the quarterfinal will be played between March 31 and April 7, 2024.

No Nigerian club have won this comeptition since it was founded in 2004.

The other quarterfinals are –

Future FC (Egypt) vs Zamalek (Egypt)

Abu Salim (Libya) vs RS Berkane (Morocco)

Stade Malien (Mali) vs Dreams FC (Ghana)
