Nwabali major doubt for Super Eagles after injury in South Africa
Goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali is now a major doubt for the Super Eagles friendlies against Ghana and Mali after injury forced him out of a South African PSL game at champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
Nwabali, 27, had to be taken off in Chippa United 2-0 loss to Mamelodi Sundowns in the 73rd minute of the game Saturday
The severity of what is suspected to be a knee injury will only be ascertained in the coming days.
Nwabali, who was top-choice goalkeeper at the recent AFCON, has been listed by Nigeria for friendlies against Ghana and Mali in Morocco beginning on March 22.
