NPFL Player of Week (7): Anas Yusuf second hat-trick fires Nasarawa to first home win

The NPFL Player of Week 7 is Nasarawa United captain Anas Yusuf, who fired his second hat-trick of the season for his club to record their first home victory.

It is the first time since the 2016/2017 season for a player to score two hat-tricks in a single season.

Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa also posted a five-star display for Kano Pillars to inflict champions Enugu Rangers their first home loss in two seasons.

However, Anas Yusuf got the vote after he single-handedly destroyed Abia Warriors to lead the goals race with eight goals.

It was apt that Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule was in the stands to watch Anas Yusuf do the magic.

The NPFL leading scorer has certainly got the CHAN Eagles selectors’ interest.

‘The Solid Miners’, who won promotion back to the top league this past season, are now 10th on the NPFL table.
