Kano Pillars ageless midfielder Rabiu Ali is pushing to be the leading scorer in the NPFL after he netted his eighth goal of the season at Lobi Stars.
Rabiu Ali, 44, is now just a goal shy of leading scorer Anas Yusuf of Nasarawa United, who has not hit target for the past four games.
Half of the Kano Pillars star’s tally came from free kicks.
Ibrahim Mustapha of El Kanemi Warriors has now fired seven goals, while Ossy Martins (Lobi Stars) and Emmanuel Ogbole (Kwara United) have each scored six goals.
Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa (Kano Pillars) and Sunday Megwo (Abia Warriors) are on five goals apiece.
