Arokodare backs Autumn champions Genk to go all the way

Tolu Arokodare and Genk are Autumn champions and the striker has said they can go all the way to be champions in the New Year.

Genk beat Antwerp 2-0 to consolidate their leadership.

They have 31 points from 13 matches, seven points clear of closest rivals and defending champions Club Brugge.

Arokodare said: “If we can continue to win matches like this, then of course we want to become champions, but that is still far too early to say. We just have to remain disciplined now.

“We were all fantastic (vs Antwerp). From the goalkeeper to the players on the bench and the coaches.”

Genk are now the autumn champions.

“It doesn’t really mean much,” insisted the Belgian league leading scorer, who is on the radar of the Super Eagles.

“It just means that we are doing well.

“We have to keep up that form.”
