Akor transfer gives Norwegian club biggest ever profit
Norwegian club Lillestrom have announced their biggest ever profit thanks for most part to the transfer in the summer of striker Jerome Akor.
Lillestrom said in a press statement that they made over 55.6 Million Norwegian Kroners (more than 5 Million Euros) for the past financial year.
The sale of Akor, who joined them from Norwegian second division club Sogndal on a free transfer, was the main reason for the club’s biggest financial windfall.
French Ligue 1 club Montpellier forked out over 5 Million Euros to sign the former Flying Eagles striker from Norway in the summer.
It was a record outgoing transfer by Lillestrom.
