Sadiq Umar will not be making a transfer at least this summer after he held showdown talks with La Liga club Real Sociedad.
Sources close to the player informed SCORENigeria that Sociedad have guaranteed him more playing time in the new season and so he will not have to leave even on loan.
“The club have assured him he will get more game time than last season,” the source disclosed.
“That clearly resolved his future, at least for now.”
Previously, speculations were rife that the Super Eagles striker will be shipped out on loan to get more playing time.
The 27-year-old striker has so far made two appearances in the new season as a late sub.
He has a contract with Sociedad till June 2028.
