Alex Iwobi has revealed that his dream is to win the 2025 AFCON with Nigeria.
The Super Eagles were beaten 2-1 by hosts Cote d’Ivoire in the final of the 2023 AFCON last year.
“To win the AFCON, we were close the last one, we want to win the next,” he told Chinansa Anukam, hostess of the podcast Is this seat taken
The three-time African champions are drawn in the first round of Morocco 2025 against Tunisia, Tanzania and Uganda.
His best Super Eagles goal?
His winner that qualified the Super Eagles to the 2018 World Cup against Zambia in Uyo.
“The goal qualified us to the World Cup, but my parents were also at the game,” he said.
