Former Super Eagles star Furo Iyenemi has said he will allow his son and Club Brugge promising striker Kaye Furo to also play for Nigeria.
Iyenemi featured at the 2000 AFCON hosted by Nigeria, while his 17-year-old son has been banging in the goals in the Belgian second division to generate interest back home in Nigeria.
However, Furo senior has maintained his son won’t consider an international future with Nigeria because he was badly treated when he played for the Super Eagles.
“My child must not suffer as I suffered. The same must not happen to my son,” Iyenemi told Omasports.
“Don’t follow in my footsteps. Be smart.”
He claimed he suffered a serious injury on Super Eagles duty and he was subsequently abandoned.
