Caretaker coach Augustine Eguavoen has stated that the Super Eagles have the personnel to deal with whatever hosts Rwanda throw at them in tomorrow’s 2025 AFCON qualifier.
Rwanda welcome the Super Eagles to Amohoro Stadium in Kigali by 2pm in Nigeria tomorrow in continuation of the qualifying tournament for the 2025 AFCON to be staged in Morocco.
It must also be noted that the Amavubi of Rwanda top the Super Eagles 2026 World Cup qualifying group.
Yet Eguavoen is bullish of his team’s chances against a confident host team.
“We have quality players who can play in different styles of football, different formations, different systems, so, whatever formation, system Rwanda come up with tomorrow, we have the personnel to deal with it,” he declared.
“Our country is full of expectations, it doesn’t matter who will play, they expect us to win. We play people with respect, but we want to get a result.”
“We play people with utmost respect, you don’t look down on people these days because football has really improved, so if you joke with it, you can get shocked,” he maintained.
“Any country that plays against Nigeria always tries to raise their game, so we have to be ready as well.”
