Candidates who chose SUMAS as their first choice institution in the 2026 UTME and scored a minimum of 150 marks and above are eligible to apply for the screening exercise. SUMAS Post UTME Admission Requirements 2026/2027

Candidates who wish to apply for admission into State University of Medical and Applied Sciences (SUMAS), Igbo-Eno, Enugu State are required to meet the following admission requirements:-

  • Candidates must have chosen SUMAS as their first choice institution in the 2026 UTME and must have scored a minimum of 150 marks.
  • Candidates who did not choose SUMAS as their first choice but scored 150 and above and wish to apply are required to change their first choice institution to SUMAS through JAMB CAPS before proceeding with the application.
  • Applicants must possess a minimum of five credit-level passes in relevant subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and any other two relevant subjects in WAEC SSCE, NECO SSCE, or equivalent.
  • For Medicine and Surgery, candidates must obtain the required O’Level credits in one sitting, while candidates applying for other programmes may present results obtained in not more than two sittings.
  • Candidates are required to upload their O’Level results (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB) to their JAMB profile through JAMB CAPS.
  • Candidates who fail to upload their results on JAMB CAPS will not be considered for admission.
  • Direct Entry and Inter-University transfer candidates who wish to apply must follow the same application procedure and select the appropriate admission category during the application process.
