- Requirement for the birth certificate
- Birth Registrations for children under the age of 5 years is free at every NPC registration center
- You would be charged NGN2,000 only, for this service.
- The self-service birth registration is only for children born in Nigeria and have a National Identification Number(NIN).
- Either of the child’s parent must be Nigerian, and have a valid Birth Certificate.
- Certificates can only be downloaded once after a successful application.
- For a certificate reprint visit the NPC website to access this service.
