Joint leading scorer of the Golden Eaglets Rapha Adams will not feature in this afternoon’s third-place match of the WAFU B U17 AFCON due to injury.
SCORENigeria first reported the HB Academy striker, who has so far scored twice in this competition, was battling to be fit for the match after he was injured in the semifinal against Cote d’Ivoire.
Imrana Muhammad will start on the wings in a 4-3-3 formation.
Injury also means that leftback Daniel Mendie is not listed and Chibuike Okorie starts in his place.
Otherwise, the team’s strongest department, the defence, is intact with Sylvester Chika at right back and first-choice central defence pairing of Boluwatife Ekishola and Abdulwaris Yunus selected.
It is hoped that the winners of this match will also advance to next year’s U17 AFCON.
Kick-off is 5pm in Nigeria.
