Chelsea will only sign Victor Osimhen on loan, according to Sky Sports.
This is because of the size of the transfer fee the Napoli striker will command and his hefty salary.
Both Osimhen and his agent are against a loan deal.
Sky Sports also predicted that if a deal will be made in this case, it would be closer to the Deadline Day, which is August 30, 2024.
The TV channel further reported that Osimhen ticks most of the boxes of the classic target man striker that Chelsea desperately need right now.
The door appears to have closed for the striker’s preferred destination – PSG.
Interestingly, PSG have now turned their attention to fellow Super Eagles star Ademola Lookman.
The Atalanta striker has agreed personal terms and the French giants are now expected to table a formal bid for the player.
