Nathan Tella ‘Baby’ fired his first UEFA Champions League goal, while both Joe Aribo and Paul Onuachu hit target as Southampton fight back in bid to stay up in the Premier League.

5.Jeremy Agbonifo

The youngster marked his switch from Swedish club BK Hacken to the French Ligue 1 by scoring on his debut for RC Lens to beat troubled Montpellier. At 19 years three months, the fast left winger became the youngest player to score for Lens on his debut since 1964, The Sweden U21 star is on loan with an obligation to buy.

4.Paul Onuachu

The giant striker scored his second goal for Southampton to prove he can score goals in the Premier League after all. His goal against fellow relegation battlers Ipswich Town proved to be the match winner for ‘The Saints’. It was only their second win of the season since promotion back to the top league. Southampton may still be 10 points from safety, but more goals by Onuachu will give them a fighting chance of escaping the dreaded drop.

3.Joe Aribo

He gave everything including the opening goal for Southampton to celebrate their second win since November at Ipswich Town. He has now netted three goals in the Premier League. He was named Man of the Match and Southampton manager Ivan Juric lavished special praise for his versatility after the midfielder played this game as left-sided central defender.

2.Victor Boniface

The striker showed character to come back after an injury layoff and a failed transfer to Saudi Arabia to open scoring for Bayer Leverkusen to beat Hoffenheim in the German Bundesliga. It was his seventh league goal this season and Bayer Leverkusen are six points behind leaders Bayern Munich in the German top league.

Two years after he featured in the English second-tier, the winger was scoring his first UEFA Champions League as Bayer Leverkusen beat Sparta Praha to secure a Top-8 finish in the competition’s overall standings. This means they have automatically qualified for the Champions League Round of 16. This season, the flying winger has made the most of his minutes at the German champions after speculations that he may have to look elsewhere to enjoy regular first-team football.
