The striker showed character to come back after an injury layoff and a failed transfer to Saudi Arabia to open scoring for Bayer Leverkusen to beat Hoffenheim in the German Bundesliga. It was his seventh league goal this season and Bayer Leverkusen are six points behind leaders Bayern Munich in the German top league.
