More than a day after SCORENigeria exclusively reported that striker Victor Boniface suffered a muscle injury on Super Eagles duty, it has now been officially confirmed.
SCORENigeria reported that the Bayer Leverkusen striker suffered a thigh injury in action against Rwanda in Uyo Tuesday night.
Sky Sports Germany has now confirmed this, adding tht the injury my well mean the striker will not play again this year.
It has been a story of hard luck for Victor Boniface with the national teams.
He suffered a major injury with the Flying Eagles leading up to the WAFU B U20 Championship in 2018.
He will then injure his abductors on the eve of the 2023 AFCON in January, which ruled hi out of the tournament and he later had to undergo surgery, which sidelined him for over three months.
He has also come under intense pressure lately after he failed to open his goals’ account after 11 appearances for the Super Eagles.
