Victor Osimhen will lead Galatasaray strike force in tomorrow’s big Istanbul Derby at Fenerbache, which has already been sold out.
According to the leading Turkish newspaper Sabah, Galatasaray coach Okan Buruk will maintain his 4-2-3-1 formation with loan signing Osimhen spearheading the attack.
Osimhen missed Tuesday’s rescheduled clash against Gaziantep SK because he was not eligible.
Sabah said the midfield is where the ‘Gala’ coach is still trying to decide on his final selection.
Durable Belgian star Dries Mertens is not guaranteed a starting place, the newspaper reported.
Last season, Galatasaray lost the away tie of the Derby 1-0, while the home leg ended in a goalless draw.
In the meantime, match tickets for the Derby were sold out in 4 seconds after they were put on sale to the public Friday afternoon.
Champions Galatasaray have won their first five matches of the new season and are two points ahead of closest rivals Fenerbache, who are coached by the legendary Jose Mourinho.
Kick-off time is 7pm in Nigeria.
