Peter Olayinka celebrates first championship in style

Peter Olayinka has celebrated his first Serbian league championship with Red Star Belgrade.

The Super Eagles forward scored one of the goals in a 2-1 victory over TSC that sealed the championship for his club ahead of city rivals Partizan Belgrade.

“There are a lot of emotions… I am happy, because we achieved our goal and won the title,” a delighted Olayinka declared.

“I know how important this is to everyone at the club and of course to the fans.

“I’m also excited about the title celebration. I’m sure it will be great. I have no doubt that we are deservedly the best team.”

Olayinka was again full of gratitude to the fans.

“I want to thank the fans for their support throughout the season and I invite them to continue doing so,” he said.

“I know it was not easy at one time, but we acted as a team and together we won the trophy.”
