Victor Osimhen has led by example by being among the first arrivals in Rwanda for the Super Eagles must-win 2026 World Cup qualifier Friday.
Osimhen has revealed that new coach Eric Chelle challenged the leaders in the team to lead the way for Nigeria to get their World Cup qualifying campaign back on track after an underwhelming start that has seen them languish second from bottom in Group C.
Olympiacos defender Bruno Onyemaechi was another early bird after the Nigerian delegation that had NPFL stars Kayode Bankole and Papa Daniel also hit the Super Eagles training camp in Kigali.
Coach Eric Chelle was on hand to welcome Osimhen and Onyemaechi at the airport in Kigali.
Officials have expressed confidence that the majority of the squad will land in Rwanda today.
