Ndidi, Iheanacho back to Premier League

Super Eagles Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho are back to the Premier League with Leicester City after closest rivals Leeds United fell at resurgent QPR.

Leeds were thrashed 4-0l by 16th-placed Queen’s Park Rangers, which meant that Enzo Maresca’s side were eight points clear at the top with just one more game to go.

Though Iheanacho’s season has been below par, the former Manchester City forward has had to endure spells on the sidelines due to injury and in the run-in was even conspiciuosly missing from the squad.

Ndidi, Iheanacho back to Premier League

He has scored five times for ‘The Foxes’.

Ndidi, on the other hand, has been a major part of Maresca’s midfield with the midfield general being used in various roles across the middle of the pack, including as an attacking threat.

The midfield maestro has been named in the squad 30 times this season, starting 24 times and making six substitute appearances.

Even though he has also battled injury, this has also been Ndidi’s most productive season attacking wise, with the defensive-minded midfielder grabbing ten goal contributions this season already (five goals, five assists).

Since his return from injury, Ndidi has gone on to be a “constant K” in Maresca’s lineups and a crucial element to their prompt promotion back to the top league.

However, both Ndidi and Iheanacho are likely to walk out on Leicester City when their contracts run out this summer.
