Moses Ebiye quits Norway to sign in Scotland

Moses Ebiye has quit Norway after seven years to try his luck at Scottish club Motherwell FC.

Eniye has signed as a free agent for Motherwell until the summer of 2025.

The striker was most recently playing in Norway with Aalesund, where he departed the club in January.

Ebiye burst onto the scene with NPFL club Akwa United before he moved to Lillestrøm in Norway. He scored three goals in his time there before moving to HamKam.

He scored four goals and assisted on five occasions in 20 appearances before moving to Tromsø in 2021. The 26-year-old scored a further 12 goals an assisted nine times in 43 games and then joined Aalesund in 2022.

The striker has 19 goals in the Norwegian top flight and has now arrived in Scotland, joining the club subject to international clearance.

“This has been a long and arduous process,” manager Stuart Kettlewell said.

“A lot of people behind the scenes at the club have had to work very hard but we’re very excited to see what Moses can do in his time at the club.

“His goalscoring record in Norway is very impressive and we feel that is something that will benefit us as we go into the remainder of the season.”

“I am very happy to have joined the club,” Moses Ebiye added.

“It has been good training and getting to know the team. I hope I can make an impact in my time here.”
