More blast NFF over bungled appointment of new Super Eagles coach Labbadia

The NFF have continued to be bombarded by criticisms after they bungled the appointment of Bruno Labbadia as the new coach of the Super Eagles.

Last week, the NFF announced the appointment of Labbadia only for the 58-year-old German coach to few days later walk away from the post after contractual talks broke down.

Former Gombe FA chairman Shuaibu Gara Gombe said both sports minister John Enoh and the NFF are culpable for this show of shame.

“This is one embarrassment too many,” Gombe blasted.

They have embarrassed themselves and the entire country.

“This failure by the sports minister and the NFF is a serious. indictment on the minister and the nff

“It is a clear indication of the incompetence of the Ibrahim Gusau-led NFF board.”

In a similar vein, former NFF executive committee member Chris Green dismissed the competence of the NFF, saying they “lack professionalism”.

“It’s a big joke,” Green berated.

He also said the pressure caused by this bungling is now on coach Augustine Eguavoen, who has again been named caretaker coach of the Super Eagles.

“If it doesn’t go well for the Super Eagles now, the blame will be on Eguavoen,” he said.
