A day after he scored the winning goal for Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen, Victor Boniface has survived a ghastly accident.
On Saturday, the Super Eagles striker fired the winning goal for Leverkusen to beat Eintracht Frankfurt 2-1 in a Bundesliga clash.
Hours later, he was being pulled out of a wreckage after the car he was travelling in was involved in an accident.
The player suffered some injuries, but they do not appear to be life-threatening.
He is in hospital and receiving treatment for his injuries.
He simply titled his Instagram post “God is the greatest” in recognition of a divine help for his escape.
