‘Golden Boy’ Abdulrazak relived back in Sweden after Anderlecht Hell

Former U17 international ‘Golden Boy’ Ishaq Abdulrazak has said he is delighted to return to Sweden after two difficult years at Belgian club Anderlecht.

Abdulrazak was signed by Vincent Kompany from UFK Norrkoping in the summer of 2022.

In two years in Belgium, the 22-year-old midfielder played only a handful of games and was sent on loan to Sweden and Norway.

He has now returned to Sweden to Varnamo and he already said this is a second home.

“I know Sweden, it’s a lovely country to live in with nice people everywhere. My friend Magashy who played in Värnamo told me about the club and said it was a good club. It’s not a big city and there’s no pressure here, you just go out and play football, he told Varnamo Nyheter.

“Then I know some of the players, I played with Simon Thern in Norrköping and have talked a lot with Luke (Le Roux) when we have met each other in Allsvenskan”

He added: “Everyone has been very welcoming. If you come to a new team and don’t know anyone, it’s difficult at first. But if you know one or two or if there’s someone with the same nationality, it becomes easier. Then you feel safe.

“Here I have Simon and Luke as I said, then “Bosco” (Kalu) from Nigeria and Frank (Junior Adjei) from Ghana. They are African guys so we talk a lot and I feel at home. We walk and eat together sometimes so it is nice. It already feels like my second home.”
