“My father. Pursuer of excellence.
The most empathetic and effective leader and statesman died in a chopper crash in West Pokot. Doing what he did best for the better part of the last 40 years – trying to keep Kenya safe,” part of the post shared on LinkedIn by a broken Omondi read.

The young lady shared a throwback photo of his father in the company of the current president of Kenya, William Samoei Ruto.
He walked with King Charles III on the red carpet during his four-day State visit to Kenya in October 2023.
