SCORENigeria can exclusively report that Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho will now return to England after he has found the going tough at Spanish club Sevilla.
Iheanacho will return to England with English Championship side Leeds United.
It has not yet been ascertained whether this will be a loan or permanent transfer as ‘Senior Man’ still has two years left on his contract at Seveilla.
The arrival of fellow Nigerian striker Jerome Akor has given Sevilla the latitude to let go Iheanacho.
Iheanacho, 28, has yet to score in La Liga after nine appearances.
Sevilla are 11th in the standings.
Last season, Iheanacho helped Leicester City to win promotion back to the Premier League from the Championship.
Leeds United also now look set to return to the top English league as they are top of the Championship with 59 points from 28 matches, a point ahead of closest rivals Sheffield United.
