Ex-Cameroon coach applies to replace fellow countryman Peseiro
Former Indomitable Lions of Cameroon coach Antonio Conceicao has applied to lead the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
A source close to the Portuguese coach told SCORENigeria that the coach will be delighted if given the opportunity to handle Nigeria.
“I can confirm to you that Conceicao has applied for Eagles job,” a source told SCORENigeria
“He managed Cameroon from 2019 to 2022. He will be delighted to get the opportunity to manage the Eagles. He is capable I know.”
The 62-year-old has coached clubs in Portugal, Romania and Saudi Arabia.
He led Cameroon to a third-place finish at the 2021 AFCON, which they hosted.
