El Kanemi Warriors win 3rd FA Cup

El Kanemi Warriors today won a third FA Cup after they defeated Abia Warriors 2-0 in the final of the cup competition played in Lagos.

Ibrahim Salihu netted a brace for the Maiduguri club.

He hit target in the 31st and 65th minutes.

This was after the Abia Warriors goalkeeper saved a penalty as early as the 12th minute.

They will represent Nigeria in the CAF Confederation Cup.

They have also regained their place in the NPFL after they won promotion during an NNL playoff.

In the women’s version of the President Federation Cup, Rivers Angels pipped Naija Ratels 1-0 to win the competition.
