As first called by SCORENigeria, El Kanemi Warriors Federation Cup-winning coach Aliyu Zubairu will now lead the Flying Eagles at next month’s U20 AFCON sub-regional qualifiers in Togo.
Zubairu has succeeded Ladan Bosso as boss of the country’s U20s.
The NFF confirmed his appointment today.
The football federation announced in an official statement that executive committee has approved the recommendation of its Technical and Development Sub-Committee for the appointment of Aliyu Zubairu as head coach of the national U20 boys, the Flying Eagles.
The appointment takes immediate effect.
Zubairu’s immediate task is to put together and prepare a team for the WAFU B U20 Championship, scheduled for October in Togo, where the zone’s representative will emerge for next year’s Africa U20 Cup of Nations
