With just nine days to the close of the summer transfer window, Napoli have become increasingly desperate in their bid to offload Victor Osimhen that they are now proposing him to other clubs in the Premier League.
Top Transfer Expert Nicolo Schira reported today:“#Napoli are exploring #PremierLeague’s market to find a solution for Victor #Osimhen, who wants to leave. #transfers.”
Napoli will be left with a very unhappy player, who is the highest earner in the Italian Serie A, in the event that Osimhen does not make a transfer in this window.
Chelsea are interested in the 25-year-old striker, but the London club have made it very clear they can only sign him on loan in this window.
This comes as Chelsea and Napoli continue to work feverishly for Romelu Lukaku to join the Italian club.
Lukaku is the preferred striker of new Napoli coach Antonio Conte, who has said he is only a spectator in the on-going transfer saga involving Osimhen.
For some time now it has already been clear that PSG will not pursue their interest in Osimhen and so Chelsea remain his next possible destination except the dealmakers from Saudi Arabia table a late bid for the reigning African Footballer of the Year.
