Amuneke: I am not desperate to coach Super Eagles
Emmanuel Amuneke has insisted he is not desperate to be the next coach of the Super Eagles.
Former Barcelona winger Amuneke has been a popular choice to succeed Jose Peseiro at the head of the Super Eagles.
“I am not desperate (to be Eagles coach),” he insisted.
“But I am a coach who nurses the ambition.
“If I have the opportunity to serve my fatherland, I will do that.”
Amuneke has served as assistant coach of the Eagles twice.
First, he assisted Samson Siasia in 2016 and then in 2022, he was No 2 to Augustine Eguavoen when the country failed to qualify for the 2022 World Cup.
