Amoo rape conviction appeal fixed for June
The appeal on the conviction of former Golden Eaglets star Akinkunmi Amoo for alleged rape will be heard in Denmark in June.
The one-time Super Eagles invitee was sentenced to a year in prison and to be deported from Denmark subsequently for alleged rape.
Former Sports Director Jesper Jansson has said it was a personal responsibility to salvage a terrible situation that Amoo had found himself after he was convicted last year and so he signed him for Cypriot club Omonia Nicosia last year.
However, both he and the player are now no longer at the club.
