Abia Warriors, El Kanemi reach President Federation Cup final

Abia Warriors and El Kanemi will do battle in the final of this year’s President Federation Cup after both teams won their penalty shootouts in the semifinals today.

Abia Warriors beat fellow NPFL club Kano Pillars 4-3 on penalties after there were no goals in regulation time, while El Kanemi also triumphed 5-4 on penalties against Kebbi United in the other semifinal.

This is the first time Abia Warriors will play in the cup final.

The winners of the Federation Cup will represent Nigeria in the CAF Confederation Cup.
