George Ilenikhena has announced his return to action from injury with a brace for AS Monaco to dismantle FC Nantes 7-1 in the French Ligue 1.
The 18-year-old striker suffered a groin injury last month and has only now returned to action.
“Victory with a brace,” the young striker said on Instagram.
“Happy to be back to the pitch.
“We should continue on this path, focus on the next game.”
Ilenikhena came off the bench in the 61st minute before he found the target in 81st minute and then deep into stoppage time for his team to massacre Moses Simon’s FC Nantes.
He has now scored three goals in 17 league appearances since his arrival in the summer from Belgian club Antwerp.
Monaco are third in the standings with 40 points from 22 matches.
They are within the UEFA Champions League qualification bracket, but 16 points adrift of defending champions and league leaders PSG.
