Barcelona coach Hansi Flick has said Atalanta will miss Ademola Lookman, who has been ruled out of tomorrow’s UEFA Champions League clash on account of knee injury.
The electric forward suffered a knee injury in training, which could now see him out for several weeks.
When quizzed on this ahead of tomorrow’s game, Flick explained it is never easy for any team to lose their star player, but he expects Gasperini’s side to adapt
“Of course, when you lose an important player, it’s not easy. But I think Gasperini knows his team well,” he said.
“For me, I usually don’t focus on one or two players, but I always look at the team as a whole and its performances.”
He added: “I don’t think the style they want to play will change much. There’s a kind of spontaneity that builds up over the course of training sessions and many games. So, in the end, I don’t think things will change much.”
Lookman will now undergo tests to ascertain the exact length of his timeout, and begin treatment.
