The management of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU) has commenced its admission screening exercise for the 2026/2027 academic session. The University is inviting candidates who chose COOU as their first-choice institution and scored the required cut-off mark in the 2026 UTME to visit the admission portal and apply for the course they wish to study.
The online registration portal is already open and will remain accessible until 7th July 2026. Interested candidates are advised not to wait until the last minute, but to complete their registration before the deadline to avoid being left out of the admission process.

Admission Requirements for COOU Post UTME and Direct Entry Screening 2026/2027
Only candidates who meet the admission requirements prescribed by Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU) will be considered for the screening exercise. Applicants who do not satisfy these requirements may not be considered for admission. Therefore, all interested candidates are advised to carefully check that they qualify before proceeding with their application.
To be eligible for the COOU Post UTME Screening Exercise, candidates must:-
- Have chosen Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU) as their First Choice Institution during the 2026 UTME registration.
- Have scored the minimum UTME mark required for their intended course of study.
- Candidates seeking admission into Law, Medicine and Surgery, Nursing Science, Medical Laboratory Science, and Pharmaceutical Science must have a minimum UTME score of 200.
- Candidates applying for other courses must have scored at least 150 in the 2026 UTME.
- Candidates who scored between 150 and 165 are encouraged to consider some of the recommended courses provided by the University to improve their chances of admission.
- Candidates who did not initially choose COOU as their first-choice institution may still apply, provided they meet the required cut-off mark and change their institution to COOU through JAMB before completing the admission process.
- Applicants must be at least 16 years old by 30th September 2026.
- All candidates must upload their O’Level results during the online registration process.
Direct Entry Candidates
Candidates applying through Direct Entry must also meet the following requirements:-
- They must have chosen COOU as their First Choice University.
- They must possess relevant qualifications such as NCE, OND, HND, First Degree, or A’Level certificates in related disciplines.
- They must register for the Direct Entry screening exercise through the University’s portal.
- They must upload all required credentials, including A’Level results where applicable.
- They must ensure that their academic transcripts are sent to the Registrar, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, on or before the screening deadline, as transcripts received after the deadline will not be considered.
Steps to Apply for COOU Post UTME Form 2026/2027 Online
Candidates who are eligible for the COOU Post UTME and Direct Entry screening are advised to follow the instructions below carefully in order to complete their online application successfully. Ensure all details entered are correct before submission.
- Visit the official COOU admission portal.
- Log in using your JAMB Registration Number and create an account if you are a new user.
- Generate your Post UTME application invoice on the portal.
- Proceed to pay the ₦2,000 non-refundable application fee through the approved payment channels on the portal.
- After successful payment, return to the portal and continue with your application form.
- Fill in your personal details, academic information, and course of choice correctly.
- Upload all required documents, including your O’Level result and other relevant credentials.
- Carefully review your application to ensure there are no errors.
- Submit your application online once you are satisfied with the details provided.
- Print out your acknowledgement slip as proof of registration.
