Ex-Super Falcons coach insists no fear vs world champions Spain, Brazil

Former Super Falcons coach Edwin Okon has said the team will not be intimidated by the pedigree of world champions Spain, former world champions Japan and Brazil at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

The Super Falcons have been drawn in a tough first round group at the summer Olympics and open their campaign on July 25 against Brazil in Bordeaux.

“I trust the players because they know what is at stake,” maintained Rivers Angels coach Okon.

“Names do not play football and so it will be 11 against 11 when the Super Falcons face these teams.

“There should be no fear because they also want to make a name for themselves at this level of the game.”

Okon also called for more players based locally to be given a chance in the Super Falcons because they are good enough.
