Don’t write off Genk warns confident Arokodare

Striker Tolu Arokodare has warned that anyone who writes off Genk, does so at his own peril.

Genk have thrown wide open the Belgian championship race after they beat Playoff leaders Anderlecht 2-1 at the weekend with Arokodare grabbing one of the goals.

“Everyone already wrote us off, they looked down on us. Now we show everyone that they should never do that,” said the big striker, who added that the team have grown a lot in the course of the season.

Fourth-placed Genk are now only four points behind table toppers Anderlecht.

Tonight, they face a daunting task at second-placed Club Brugge (36 points), while Anderlecht are home to bottom team Cercle Brugge as the Championship Playoffs reach the halfway mark.
