NPFL Player of Week: Rabiu Ali just keeps on going at 43

The NPFL Player of Week 31 is Rabiu Ali of Kano Pillars.

The 43-year-old midfielder scored twice and provided an assist for his club to record a comfortable 4-0 home win over bottom club Gombe United.

The ageless campaigner has now scored eight goals and made four assists this season.

The victory was coming at the right time after Pillars were handed a three-match ultimatum to shape up or ship out.

Rabiu has said the secret to his durability is self-discipline.

He is most certainly a legend of the domestic game.

Pillars are now eighth in the standings with 44 points from 31 matches.
